Join us Thursday, July 24th and turn your unworthy self over to Stone Brewing Co.
We're hosting six Stone taps for the event, plus 22oz bottles of the incredibly limited new W00tstout 2.0.
5.4% ABV | 40 IBU
Good. I’ll have another, please.
“We were going for a nice light beer, but then we decided … that’s not Stone-like, let’s turn it black.” A uniquely dark spin on the traditionally light-bodied German Kölsch style. Mildly roasty & effervescent with a floral yeast presence.
Winner of the 2014 Stone Spotlight Series.
5.4% ABV | 41 IBU
Rich maltiness & a delicate hop aroma.
Deep amber in color, this beer is a robust and full-flavored interpretation of a classic British pale ale. Stone Brewing Co.’s flagship ale & very first release.
Stone Delicious IPA
7.7% ABV | 75 IBU
Lemon candy & spicy hop flavor with a dry finish.
An intense lemon character brought on by El Dorado and “Lemon Drop” hops amps up this West Coast IPA’s already incredible powers of flavorful refreshment. Limited local release only!
8.8% ABV | 85 IBU
Tastes like an IPA. Deal with it.
Beachwood / Heretic / Stone 2014 Collaboration
7.2% ABV | CLASSIFIED
Tasting notes are for sissies.
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. Arrogant Bastard Ale aged in Templeton Rye barrels has been described as “OAKED Arrogant Bastard on steroids”.
Big, fruity & dry with lots of peach, plum & pineapple.
Belgian-style Abbey Ale aged in red wine barrels, brewed specifically for barrel-ageing.
13.5% ABV | 65 IBU
Pronounced dark chocolate followed by bourbon, vanilla & oak.
Everything that makes a great imperial stout, loaded with roasty notes and malt complexity. This collab with commedian Aisha Tyler, Drew Curtis (Fark.Com) & Wil Wheaton (Nerd God) features pure stone-ground cacao and is on extremely limited SoCal and Kentucky release only.
Stone Brewing Co. is a craft brewery headquartered in Escondido, CA.
Founded by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner in San Marcos, the brewery sold its first keg of flagship concoction Stone Pale Ale on July 26th, 1996. They have grown steadily ever since, and are now the 10th-largest craft brewery in the country, with distribution to 41 states and plans to expand east of the Mississippi next year.
On July 19th, 2014, Stone Brewing Co. announced a massive, groundbreaking expansion set to open in late 2015 or early 2016 in the Marienpark in Berlin. They will become the first American craft brewers to own and operate a brewery in Europe. Arrogant bastards.
Bar Food is featuring a selection of local and limited-edition brews along with flagship Stone Pale Ale. Out of the first-ever Stone Spotlight Series intra-company brewing competition comes curious black Kölsch Spröcketbier. Tasty candy-like Stone Delicious IPA is brought to you by our incredibly lucky regional proximity— it’s getting local distribution only. Bastard in the Rye and Reason Be Damned showcase two different approaches to barrel ageing: an already intense and recognizable recipe made even more complex by Templeton Rye whiskey barrels versus a new Belgian Abbey Ale devised specifically to exploit the characteristics of the red wine barrels in which it would be aged.
We’re indecently excited to host the two newest Stone collaborations. With their Unapologetic IPA, three hophead brewers from Stone, Beachwood and Heretic developed a brash and beautiful double IPA using experimental hop varieties, and they couldn’t care less if you think the world needs another IPA: they do. Finally, we’re proud to bring you sock-rocking, mind-blowing, ludicrously-limited 22oz bottles of W00tstout 2.0, the 2nd-gen collab with Drew Curtis and Wil Wheaton. This year, comedian (and Archer voice actor) Aisha Tyler joins the evil masterminds for what Stone has revealed is the most difficult beer they’ve ever brewed: 2.0 takes the rich, nutty stout and adds stone-ground cacao. Shut up and drink, Wesley.
